How It Started

As a young man in Arvada, Colorado, Keith Wyllie was seeking his true purpose in life. Armed with his first tool, a shovel, he uncovered a deep passion for the landscaping industry. Over time, he realized he possessed an artistic flair. Simply digging ditches and planting shrubs no longer fulfilled his emerging creative drive.

Starting with humble beginnings, Keith cultivated a profound appreciation for his work, which ultimately led to the establishment of his own business, Abstract Landscaping, in 1995.

In 2005, he advanced his craft by founding Aqua Shapes, blending his artistic talents with innovative water and stone designs. This passion later grew into creating captivating splash pads that bring joy to countless children in our communities—all made possible with the help of the green Chevy truck pictured below.

Recently, Keith and his wife, Marlene, relocated to West Kentucky, beginning an exciting new chapter in their lives. They connected with two other families who joined his business, illustrating the unexpected ways our lives become intertwined. Only God knows who He will bring into our lives and for what purpose.

Partner Steve Hall began his career in 1980 working alongside his father in residential remodeling in the St. Louis, MO area. He specialized in room additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, as well as siding, window, and roof installations. In 1985, Steve joined a company specializing in custom residential homes, commercial office and warehouse construction, where he spent eleven years refining his skills as a master carpenter and building contractor. In 1996, Steve launched his own contracting business, focusing on large, upscale custom homes and light commercial buildings. His extensive expertise spans all aspects of carpentry, and his deep knowledge across various trades ensures the highest quality in both residential and commercial construction projects.

Steve offers a unique talent for effectively communicating with all stakeholders in any project. His diverse experience enables him to clearly understand and engage in the full range of discussions necessary to coordinate projects of any scale.
